A Look at 2017, What a Year!

Well it’s official, It’s 2018! This is my year end review

Over the last year, I’ve seriously completed many projects and I’m sorta proud of it :). I really didn’t hit my goals, mainly because I underestimated the strength of social media sewing challenges. Honestly, I love these challenges. They really pull the community together, however if you lack the strength to be organized with your own plans then you’ll miss the mark. In the end in the end, I did achieve a tremendous deal!

Personal Achievement

  1. A Jeans, this was my second attempt and most successful
  2. My first Jacket, which was a purple haze of perfect fit and sleek details
  3. My first Cardigan, without the Cardi Challenge, I wouldn’t have known how much I love them.
  4. Pattern Testing
    1. Dressy Talk Shirt Dress
    2. Cali Faye Collection “Fenix Romper & Esteem Dress)
    3. Bella Sunshine, Apple Cardigan
    4. Nina Lee Southbank Sweater

My 2017 Make Nine

I successful completed 5 out of 9 of my #2017MakeNine. I hope to get to a point where I will meet all these goals, I’ve set for myself. My intentions in 2018 is to complete the leftover projects and all #2018MakeNine.

#thelittlereddressproject

I am so happy to have hosted this challenge and look forward to 2018. Big Shout out to co-host Rosa of Sewn & our amazing sponsors. As a reminder, winners will be announced on Instagram Sunday January 7th 2018.

#DayandNightChallenge

This was a super fun challenge at the beginning of 2017, I really like how my projects turned out. I had just started to take Instagram serious and connect more with the sewing community after my first try at thelittlereddressproject.

Mini Agnes Collection

Tilly’s Agnes is my favorite foundation pattern. This year I enjoyed playing around with the neckline and made 3 variations of my own.

Another challenge I started in 2017 was the #4thofJulyProudDressProject and #FlagsOfTheWorldDressProject, it was such a wonderful event to see all the pretty dresses created to represent the sewing community.

2017 was a blast and I can’t wait to take you guys along for 2018! Much Love and lots of hugs from -31 degrees Wisconsin!

Thank you and Happy New Year to you and your family. I hope to be more productive in 2018. One of my goal is to be as consistent with my blog as I am with my YouTube Channel once my projects are completed.

You have so many great projects from this last year Renata! The Agnes tops and the purple jacket are my favorites! The Agnes suits you so well and that purple is killer! I’m so glad to have gotten to know you in this last year!
